THE 288 KID 02-19-2011 10:35 AM

It's a Sunsation nation boys... ur just living in it!

Scotts getting 107 out of his non step hull dominator I think.

Tom, love you too buddy.

AJ POWERPLAY 02-19-2011 11:17 AM

Gotta compare apples to apples, Scott has huge blower motors... and is a tool. With the same power the two boats run close and we all know.how PQ's ride- niiiiice. The sunsation family has all but guaranteed I will never own one. Spend 5 minutes over on sunsation forums and you'll know why

2 years ago a PQ 290 got 1st place in its class at the Shoot out in LOTO I believe it did 94-95 so what your point?

just because we dont feel the need to put that on our sunpads it does not mean that PQs dont go fast.

A thought...
Is it just me or does it seem odd that there is a Sunsation lerker in the PQ forum??? Does that mean that there is a PQ lerker stirring things up in the Sunsation forum? I woul dthink if you were going to talk chit you would do it on your own turf not go looking for it elsewhere.

Just a thought... maybe I am way off base?

cpiefer06 02-19-2011 11:58 AM

Besides I heard it from a Sunsation dealer that the 32 may fall out of favor with the new 36 now available. That most will either go 28 or to the 36, so he is hyping a boat that may be on the way out???

AJ POWERPLAY 02-19-2011 12:37 PM

288 KID is a buddy of ours, I do a lot of boating in MI with him... he's just a little mouthy sometimes :D I think they call it sunsationitis
Tom posted a great vid of a typical sunsation owner giving his passengers a lesson in boat submerging not to long ago hahaha... Tom post that bad boy back up on this thread

AJ POWERPLAY 02-19-2011 12:42 PM

cpiefer06- this is a vid I took of your new boat takin off @ the River Shiver last fall... I'm on PWRQUEST's 380 at the time

These guys troll Sunsation forums more than there on here.... something about keeping tabs on the leading edge of the industry?

cpiefer06 02-19-2011 02:38 PM

You do make a good point... At some point most will have to switch to a maker who is still making. LOL And I kinda figured but wasn't sure that all of you might know each other, wasn't trying to offend.

AJ POWERPLAY 02-19-2011 03:20 PM

I will eventually go to a current builder... I'll be Hustlin' the big water bc it will more than likely be a Hustler ;)- that red cheetah in the classifieds is NASTY

Hey guys, I noticed a poker run in the Midwest section that is getting some pretty nice attention and thought if you hadn't seen it you might be interested. It is out of the Quad cities and some pretty nice boats out of the burbs sound like they are coming as well.

Check it out, I am pretty sure we will be there.

AJ POWERPLAY 02-20-2011 10:11 PM

Id be down to go to that Run... its about a 6 hr drive from me, not too bad as long as the beer's cold :D

They actually have a "no longer in production/business class"? At the shoot out?

Surely the competition in that class is getting overwhelming as the economy continues to pull more and more unworthy companies under....

AJ POWERPLAY 02-21-2011 11:55 AM

Some companies were bigger than 2 guys and a PR Rep... PQ was bigger than sunsation and had just as good of customer service (do some research on that, I know that's important to you sunny guys). Bigger companies with more employees tend to do worse when all of a sudden the market falls out and you can't sell boats.
Look at it this way, a non-current hull by PQ still had what it took to best the competition that day... and I bet its passengers weren't scowling in pain afterwards due to the ride quality or lack thereof (sound familiar? Hahaha)

Big difference between an unworthy company and a company that was mismanaged financially.
Powerquest was by no means an unworthy company!!

cpiefer06 02-21-2011 01:09 PM

That video was unreal... that was harsh.

I think the only person(s) in pain was u and your mistress in the cuddy cabin, and the Hawaiian cause her size Z cans were yanking down on her upper chest skin and shoulders. The captain felt no pain other than the Arnold palmer that exploded in his boat and the monster spilled in the cockpit by, none other than, you.

Hey cpiefer06,
I think someone is inquiring about your old boat on the baja section. Not sure if you wanted to chime in and give them your input.

I was never able to get a hold of the PowerQuest guy again.

PWRQUEST 02-21-2011 09:54 PM

Verbi,
Dont know if you are interested in a dodge. But the dodge mega cab dually short box i believe is rated for 15,000 LBS off the ball no 5th wheel necessary.....

cpiefer06 02-21-2011 09:58 PM

I did drop a note in the baja section, hope it helps and thanks for the heads up. Anything I can do to help I will, would like to see it go to a good home, been a great boat.

THE 288 KID 02-22-2011 03:04 AM

I'm so glad I have you guys to make my nights at work entertaining... Muah!

I like the Ford SD trucks the most although I drive a Dodge 1/2 ton now.
Dodges are the heavier of trucks as well.(in the diesels)
Calvin , your 38 full of fuel sitting on a steel triple axle trailer only weighs in at 12,400 lbs??
Thats pretty light for a 38' package?!?

I rather push my Chevy than drive a Ford or a Dodge unless of course the Dodge is pulling my boat home, then its ok.
