must be,,you sure do spend a lot of time over here,
I guess I dont blame you,if you dont have one you might as well try to fit in with people that do.

There must be way too much abuse over on the Sunny side and no nice friends to play with so he's over here talking the bad about the big chit.....that's my guess.

THE 288 KID 03-15-2011 11:16 AM

Hey the yellow to Orange fade matches my boat! That's a good one fish. Wish I wouldn't have to beg to advertise my brand of choice on a simple t-shirt when I go out in public. No customer service for us little guys...

Drock78 03-15-2011 01:17 PM

World class boats...chapter 13 customer service...lol

cpiefer06 03-15-2011 02:35 PM

Oh no it went there did it???

Drock78 03-15-2011 03:32 PM

Haha..I had to but I can't talk much since profile is out of business. Good thing is that Randy answers the phone and is more than willing to give me the suppliers info that he used or helps me locate parts

cpiefer06 03-15-2011 03:46 PM

Or maybe they are trying to promote topless boating by not supplying tshirts... witch obviously I am for and try to inforce at all times while boating, but you know doesnt always work...

Drock78 03-15-2011 04:26 PM

288kid topless is not the image your referring to I hope..lol:drink:

cpiefer06 03-15-2011 04:30 PM

Turning a stepped hull.

I did some research on driving and turning a stepped hull boat and found in everycase that they said you DO NOT trim in or down the drives going into the turn as I would have on the other! Keep them up and most say to power thru the corner and or feather the throtles. The end result of trimming down when turning sounds like it would be very interesting to say the least. I described what might happen to the wife and you should have seen the look on her face:eek:.

Would love to hear others comment as well and advice.

Although, Kid, those steps don't count... :lolhit: Sorry I had to.

Drock78 03-15-2011 04:35 PM

If I remember correctly a few years ago at the smoke on the water poker run in grand haven a guy did something similar on a Outerlimits after he blew past the card stop and it was a bad deal causing a couple deaths

verbi69 03-15-2011 04:47 PM

YUP, No trimming down while turning a stepped hull.

it was a new owner and an outerlimits rep... its a shame... and they shut it down shortly after, wish they would get another run goin in replacement

cpiefer06 03-15-2011 05:31 PM

Ya know, I have always driven anything I have owned by feel and my senses if you get my meaning. I am always listening, smelling and trying sense any feeeling I am getting from what ever I am driving. IN my old non step you could feel it needed to be trimmed in to corner or it would blow out, or you hear the motor reving and yet slowing down. I was not posting the original comment in a bad way as I am sorry to hear that others dont have the respect needed to handle some things as others do, but more looking for feed back from some others and a dos and donts type thing.

All in good fun though.

when you tuck the drives all the way in(trim down)you lift the transom up and put the weight of the boat on the bow,
you can do that on a V bottom boat
on a step bottom boat some of the transom is allready out of the water because of the steps and the air under there and if you trim down and turn the front of the hull is going to dig in the water and since the back of the boat is light it will hook and spin.
You allways want the weight of the boat in the back on a step bottom on turns
