The 29 outlaw was small in comparison, we were truly shocked at the difference. We even thought about a 288 but decided we would have had to go to a 32 or 36 to be happy and well those 36 aren't exactly cheap right now.

The nice thing about the 300 when compared to my 290 is that even tho the LOA is only a foot longer, the running surface is almost 3 feet longer and is still faster with the twin-step... Also they have much more room in the engine bay. No comparison between a 29 outlaw and 300 Revenge.

It's all good- we're a proud bunch :drink:

The running surface on a 300 is within a foot of the running surface of the 34 vyper

It's true... my buddies up @ Torch have a very nice 99 vyper, tons of room compared to my 290 and the 300, but with the molded swim platform the running surface is a good 3.5 feet less than the LOA

I'll still consider buying one if uncle Calvin doesn't wana wheel & deal on the big chit

inknppr 03-11-2011 07:46 AM

What is the running surface on a 38?

Wow I just asked the question....A lot of Uncle Kevin fans on here or should I say that PQ has a problem with the numbers on the sides of their boats. They don't know the difference between 34 and 38 oh I guess they are both even numbers so either one will work! Hey Fish where did u get that pic??? That is not Gary's old dually!!!

verbi69 03-11-2011 09:34 AM

It's ok ink........we all wished we had a #1 on the side of our boats!!
I don't think I have a number on the side of my boat...I'm gonna go and look!!

Drock78 03-11-2011 09:55 AM

Dont worry about Denis ,Calvin has allways said that most 380 owners dont care about the running surface ,they are just happy to say they own a 38.

sorry verbi

From Chicago its about 5 hrs north... straight up 94 to 131 and that takes you right up to it... you can fit any size boat on it the biggest I've seen is a 43 Nor-Tech. It's 300 ft at its deepest point and is 22 miles long probably 2 miles wide at its widest. There isn't a weed in the lake it is 100% sand and you can see the bottom even at 30 feet its honestly the most beautiful lake I've ever seen. Best sand bar in MI also...

Best launch is the marina, but the bridge launch is good too, I put my 290 in there a few times... the number to the marina is (231) 322-4495
Just let me know any weekend and I'll be up there... I have the first week of July off as well so I'll be there for that also & all holidays

specialk 03-11-2011 07:36 PM

That place looks like a blast. Is it like that every weekend? Are there any places to go by boat to eat? Not sure if it looks like a place for my 5 and 9 year old.

AJ POWERPLAY 03-11-2011 07:59 PM

There's something for everyone... the families hang back and on the outside and the crazies are in the inside... there is a bar/restaurant called the dockside that you can boat to, also the Alden Bar... you wouldn't be disappointed

Kid288
put me down for a couple of the shirts your selling at the other site, boating season is right around the corner and I need some rags to wipe my hands after I change the oil.

THE 288 KID 03-12-2011 09:33 AM

My shirt sale got shut down.... the factory promised by Christmas, then first of the year, now here it is middle of march and no shirts. I guess customer service is slipping now that "record" sales of the 36' are going to their head.
