Default Prop Advice

I have a 1999 29 PQ Enticer with twin 7.4 mpi engines bravo 1 1:50 drives. I have 3 blade 25 pitch mirage plus Gps 68 mph @4400 rpm and bravo 24 pitch 4 blade 4600 rpm @ 64mph Gps. I'd love to keep the 4 blade (much better ride less chine walk) but i also would like to get some mph back. What can i do ? And do i have the right 4 blade prop? Is 4600 rpm pushing it. What is the rev limit set at ? Thanks in advance for the feedback. Jeff

The 7.4L needs to run at 4500-4600 at WOT to ahieve max speeds, typically. However keep in mind we are assuming that the props you are testing with are true. I would agree however that you need to consider lab finishing a 26P Bravo I to run a similar RPM to that of your stock 24P Bravo I. But I don't see you going faster with the 4B than you are with the 3B. Getting 4MPH out of labbing is a tall order.

Labbing 26 B1's is the choice I would make. The R's will be just below thge 24's and we can most likely get all or very close to the 4mph you are looking for.
