Guess who's learning how to sew double french seams... yup this guy
i've worked and stretched vinyl for years but until now I've always left complex curves to the pros but I figure I've got all winter long if I screw up to fix it. All black vinyl will have bright red stitching and I'm thinking black for any grey panels such as the seats. I'd love black but hey its a boat I don't want to be burned by my seats lol. But I'm excited to learn a new trade. So lets see I can wire sh*t up.. I can build cool sh*t... I can paint and now maybe I can sew... hmm better not tell the wife of ill be sewing stuff for her lol

Build is looking awesome , Dash is super sweet . Built the exact same boat for resale this sumer and we made new dashes but yours are making ours look sad . Just a little advice about your switches . I've used them in three builds so far and they look better then anything on the market but they are not waterproof . when they get wet they short out and come on . We've had to go back and make snap on dash covers for those boats for when they are sitting . Worth the trouble though , everyone comments on them .

Did yours have the o-rings? They claim to be waterproof... hmm well they will be mounted on the front part of the console so I hope they don't short out. Those are not cheap switches lol. Thanks for the compliment on the dash. Its not been easy. I'd have more done but my job keeps getting in the way lol. That and none of this is cheap :\ I've got 160 just in switches and about a hundred in carbon fiber. Couple gallons of fiberglass resin and a bunch of body filler. The only cheap thing about all this is me haha. I'm looking at naugahyde samples currently and kind of sad on my grey scale choices but it just feels so damn nice. Going to sew it all myself too so should be interesting

Yep O ring style . Good thing is if they short out it just makes them come on , you can blow on them and fix it . You're getting a better deal then we do . They cost us $22 each . Here's a couple pic's of a little CC dash I did . Also a speaker/Radio pod I made out of carbon fiber a few day ago . ...............

Wow not bad man. I love carbon fiber. If done right it really sets things off. I've just been buying sheets from protec composits. I have never seen carbon with this level of shine. And its thin as hell. Its like paper... crazy stuff man. Good thing they are led with nothing for amp draw lol. Kinda sucks knowing they will light up like that lol. All mine are red since my boat is currently red I figured I want that sinister look at night.

Getting there finally. I wish I had made more progress but had to make a circle jig and a new work bench this weekend. I have used so much fiberglass on this build lol. I'm so glad I'm not sensitive to the dust. Never itched once while sanding it.
