I've got nothing but good things to say about alex. too bad both he and bob madara are so far away or I would have gladly let them do the actual engine work. ran into a small problem getting pistons but bob is on it. seems not too many companies want to say their product will survive the marine environment..lol well at least in this perticular engine. sadly once this motor is done I start in on the one for my bmw swap. I'm either a die hard car guy, or effin stupid... my wife has strong opinions on that...lol however i did win some brownie points as I bought her jewelry...

so i totalled up my investment so far, and its not pretty...lol by the time I bolt on lightning headers on this monster I will be looking at over $8300 in just the engine of this. I can say no one will ever have another boat like mine however. its all for the love of the sport right??

Still not sure on the interior, I think best on the go... lol it will all come together as I'm able to work on it. Yeah engine builds can get super crazy very easy. I decided to go with weisco pistons, another shout out to bob for those. I can't get over how fast it all adds up. I really can't wait to get her out on the water again.

Yeah it's nuts, but all the money spent will be more than worth it come spring/summer! Bob Madera is a great guy to have in your corner! Can't say enough good things about my experience with him. When are you planning to finish up this build?

I was hoping this spring but... I may have it sea worthy by then but it wont be finished...lol I will still need to do a steering conversion to fully hydro and then an outdrive upgrade. the only hold up for getting it in the water this spring will be my exhaust. I may have to take up an offer on a set of aluminum manifolds if I cant swing the $2K for the lightning headers. I really hope I can get those as its a key part in the entire look of the build.
