Thanks! Need all the motivation I can get.
the wiring is pretty much 95 percent done. Went faster then I thought. Everything is working again and the boat has probably half the wire it used to have. Will be going back with 3 batteries.
will start fitting the stuff into the counsel now.

Sounds good.
Set back is actually determined by hull, power, set up etc and fracker builders build whatever you tell them.
In theory, the bigger/heavier your hull is, the more set back you want.
I think 30” is a good guess for your project.

Good luck with the rigging! Great looking Scarab. Your friend, that's been giving you advice, has got a very rare boat. I almost bought a sister boat to his, called 'The Edge'. It was hull number #3 of those David Aronow boats he named Legend 32. It was built for Ritchie Powers by Mark McManus at Apache. Aronow used the Midnight Express 32SS mold, but added a pad towards the transom on most of them. Only 6 were built total and most were open center console.
I got the same hull as you on my 1990 Larry Smith Team Scarab 31, with the exception of the step on yours. I've got twin 2002 V-250 Yamaha 2-strokes so they're several hundred pounds lighter than your Mercury motors. My setback is only 24", but you probably need the 30" to create enough bow lift. Glad you didn't go with triples, way too much weight. You should see mid to upper 60s, I barely hit 60. Look forward to you running her.
