anything new for you , I am stuck until motor shows up we need it to set drive height/ make motor mounts have header tails finished, figure where coolers are going and need to find out if we need a scoop on the hatch . I hope its ready by feb or I will loose a deposit on wharehouse I rented for one month:eek:. I had it for feb and had to call the guy back and beg him to change it for march. he has it rented with new guy for april on for a muti lease so I will loose 800.00 deposit now if I don't use it in march. well I hope you are working on yours mines in outside storage to:eek: only 100 a month but its adding up and feb will be 500 bucks, cause I thought I was getting my motor in oct, nov then jan so I left it outside. with inside storage it would of been kept at above freezing but you can't work on them only pull them out in march or april. 2yrs ago they let guys work on boats and one caught on fire after hours burnt all the boats including the owners. so no more of that I am worried that LEAVING THE BOAT WHICH HAS BEEN STORED IN SIDE ITS WHOLE LIFE, doesn'tfall apart as in head liners and other stuff in cabin. Inever saw so much sweat in the cabin last warm day, so I left the door open but they still sweat just bums me out in the worst way, after this year I will keep it in side over the winter. I just need to ger done for a shot of the miami race.

Art, Unfortunatly not much going on with my boat either lately.. Its not for lack of drive or enthusiasm just the classic lack of funds.. I am currently in more of a "can I keep the boat out of the classifieds ?" mode lately

However I did manage to spend a few hours today on the drive. Last time I ran the Pantera I got a small chip in one of the skegs (maybe half the size of a pencil eraser) So I got that welded up, ground down & smoothed up a while back so yesterday I decided to drag it out to get the lower ready for paint.. Anyways I pulled the lower off today & got it in primer..

Here's a shot of it before primer & obviously one in primer.. I wanted to post a before shot to show its not full of filler, the method allot of body men would use to fix them.. haha..

Once again I just relized I can't post pics over here !!!! :grinser010: So I will post them next door..

Its hard to believe that as rapid paced as my "update the Saber threads go" that this one is as far down as it is.. :rolleyes:

Even as ever so aging 34 year old day dreamer I learned a good time ago that if you wanted something quick ,cheap & easy that its best to go save the money, go to walmart an spend $40.00 on a microwave & stay away far away from a custom built hot rodded anything !!! However I've been called hard headed before..;)

That being said & boating related I've not had a chance to do much more than walk by the boat on my way to the paint booth again.. However I gotta say it feels good when we occasionally catch a "glimpse of light" & remember "hey one day I may actually just finish this race after all"

So its not in any way a promise of "motor is sitting in the hole properly aligned, locked in and rigging has begun pics" I can actually say that I'm heading a few hours west in the a.m. for a long combo day of: "youngest daughter bi-annual check up at vandy" along with a "Pick the power back up" trip.. So I'm Confident they are both in good hands..

So in closing I will say: Tune in over the weekend for a short episode of "check back for a pic. or 2 as I get reunited with my redheaded concubine"

2nd and final closing... I've had that picture of Jdub up so long on my avatar that I decided pony up, drain the paypal back down & take his picture down.. Sorry bro..

Haha...I hear ya bro. Just to put it in perspective for you: my old boat will have been torn down and rebuilt twice before yours even sees the water..lol. Not that Artie is blazing any trails either, but it would have been cool to see a couple high hp single Saber's this season. Oh well...what's another year :drink:

Hey somebody's gotta help make you look good !! I just figured if I went ahead & waited another season it would give you an upper hand again while at the same time allowing you time to hone your skills on a few more..
