Nope, not my drive. I have labbed three blade 31's on my drive. Classic round ear forward and straight edge cleaver rear. I would hate to know what kind of shaft loading that 5 blade has. Thats the rear or inner shaft and its NOT fat by any means. It would be interesting to know who made those. Maybe post that in props section and ask Brett at Bblades. It looks like its on a V hull?

bbladesprops 07-11-2008 10:05 AM

Hi guys,

I'm not actually sure who made those propellers.

Are there any markings on them?

If you had to guess what do you think they are and how much for a set of them?

P-29 jacket with delivery of boat?

I talked to a guy a year ago and he said he had two matching P-29 coats. Does anyone know if that came with the boat in 96? I haven't seen anything in my during my extensive research over the past year. The only thing Power Boat Mag said is that it came with a sun umbrella.

That is incorrect, as I own #29. I hadn't been on this site in a looooong time, and just came across this post.

haven't posted in a while, Oshkosh Thunder (Mark) owned mine before I did. I bought in June of 07. I have talked with Mark and the drives have been rebuilt, since then no problems! Just fast idle speed, around 7 mph GPS running on only one engine. What have people used as a replacement drive for the p-29. Is anyone running on IMCO shorties? Thanks for keeping up a list!

I took it out last Saturday (9/6) after picking it up from Absolute Speed&Marine (they pulled the intake to replace a splash shield on top of the camshaft that Derebery left out when they built the motors) that caused it to burn 5 qts of oil in 5 hours. I ended up having them come out to the lake fix a loose water hose connection at the rear of the motor that caused it to run up to 170* (that I think caused the waterpump to fail which I had to pay for).I'm getting tired of this sh*t. But that is another topic. Anyhow , it ran good. I had it up to a about 72 mph@ 4600rpm.thanks Mike

joep29 09-30-2008 09:25 AM

I traded my p-29 in last week (#5). It is currently for sale at Shogren marine in Chicago. Good luck to the next owner!

Michael Garibay 09-30-2008 03:11 PM

I think I saw it for sale for 49K. What are ou going to replace it with ?Mike

joep29 09-30-2008 05:10 PM

I have replaced the p-29 with a 1999 42 fountain lightning. The p-29 just was not large enough for weekend stays. Anyone interested in the p-29 should contact Scott Shogren, he will set you up!

nova26 09-30-2008 09:51 PM

Joe I just got done checking your P-29 out at Shogren. Clean looking ride. How many hours on it? Congrats on the 42. Dan:drink:

joep29 10-01-2008 04:46 PM

the p-29 had around 415 hours on it. drive oil change in the spring as well as engine oil. 2 new water pumps and various new hoses. Tune up on 8-15-08. Great boat! engines and drives are perfect, boat just needs some minor cosmetic work.

nova26 10-01-2008 05:54 PM

There was a P-29 that was on Speedwake.com. Its not on there any more Stevep29 had it posted. I beleave it was #27 anyone know if it sold??

I just started using the thing. I had it out of Newport this weekend for a short (17mi each way) jaunt up to Long Beach to check out the SCOPE poker run boats. It ran Flawlessly, didn't seem to burn any oil and hit just over 75 in the breakwater. Port motor is still running a little cold (100-110 max) vs. the Starboard motor (135-140 since replacing the t-stat).

nova26 10-02-2008 03:14 PM

Dan, if the right deal comes around for a P-29, you should jump on it. I have somewhat regretted purchases in my live, but never as much regret as letting something I wanted slip through my fingers. My P-38 is a $520 a month payment, but if I didn't pay that I'd be paying for something else . I figure I might as well enjoy life. I make the money in the house so my wife lets me do whatever I like.....Mike

nova26 10-03-2008 06:15 PM

2009 will be the year I've waited this long I'm going to stick to the plan. The main reason is I'm 100% commission 10yrs same dealer hometown and I have been blessed. But for years I juggled plane payment, truck payment, credit card, bikes, boat, house on just my income and kept 700 beacon score. Sold it all but the boat invested the house $$ and moved in the new brides house. I know I'm like every other post on this thread but there's a plan behind my madness. Your right Mike this isn't no dress rehearsal you only have one go around. :ernaehrung004:
