Yep, before and after shots would look mad.
I kept a couple (wrong size) from years ago, I’m sure Heath has these and lots more…..

The boat puts the blue fluffy-cloud-sky to shame. Well-crafted, and spectacularly stunning. Even the trailer is like a calm turquoise sea. Congrats Heath.

Really shows your a good fabricator, using tools for other than designed purpose and still produce good results.
What did you top it off with and is the bottom going to be paint or gel ?

rak, your right, this build should be featured and the magazine/show should spring for gas to get the day on the water exclusive
Thanks Dan, the bottom is repaired in gel and it's not perfect, there are still a few chips I haven't repaired and probably won't. The gel color is a little brighter than the original, which will be ok, although I still am going to fine tune the gel at the front where it shows. And speaking on gas, hopefully prices will go down before I have to fill up the main tank.

Greetings to all of you in the US

Heath , this project is so outstanding i wrote this already severall times, but every new post from you is getting me again and again.

This is Robert from Germany i would like to eas all of your pain regarding the fuel cost.

Due to this Ucraine horror we suffer also regarding the gas prices .
The US gas companys are calling 4 Dollar per Gallon (3.8L), i know this is ridicoulos high for the US.

BUT ,
we here in Germany have to pay 2.20 Euro a litre !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Which is 2,43 Dollar per Litre which sums up to 9.23 Dollar per gallon !!!!!

So even starting the two SB of my Wellcraft Nova is allready kind of stupid.

Weeks ago the litre price was 1.60 Euro which was 1,77 USD and per gallon 6,72 USD "kind of normal" for us .
Letīs say i was used to it somehow.

My 89 Wellcraft NOVA II with twin SB is consuming 110l/h while cruising at 35mp/h .

So 1 h crusing cost me before allready 176 Euros or 195USD JUST ONLY FUEL ......but it is my hobby and my pride.

Now it have to pay 250 USD/h and this is stupid and i will not pay that much.

I bought my boat 4 years ago for a low price of 5000Euro (5500USD) due to the fact that no trailer came with it and the persenning was gone and several other issues ...........
At that time it was already kind of cheap due to the twin V8 SB setup (fuel consumtion).

BUT NOW I CANT SELL THE BOAT EVEN IF I WANT TO ,cause of the ridiculous gas price.

I donīt want to sell the Wellcraft ,but this summer it will be used a lot less .
Last 2 summers we where restricted to even visit the marina due to the covis sh.... and now this war horror....

Enjoy your toys and put the hammer down for me when cruising............

Regards Robert

Robert, that is true robbery !. Everyone wants to blame the oil companies, but the ridiculous prices in a normal market is usually local and federal governments, TAXES. I learned a long time ago, prices go up, prices go down slower. Our federal gov in the US has declared war on the energy companies and as a trickle down onto the consumers. I have always had investments in oil companies, they paid decent dividends and I always just put that away for my Summer play time. There are too many factors to go into here, but we are getting bent over. Summer of 2020, before the US Presidential election, I pulled into a close by marina to get fuel. The owner laughing says, "when was the last time you paid $2.10/gallon on the water"? I just said, I can't remember. We just laughed. Look now. What happened?

Wow! very sorry to hear it's that expensive over there Robert. Makes me appreciate how it is here all the more. If you ever do make it over here I'll take you for a ride in my boat and YOU can hit the throttles.

Now thatīs an offer US here i come.

We are planning to visit Las Vegas this fall (September) .
But i will not make it to Gadsden cause i am the tour guide for my little group of 7 .
They want to visit the west coast as well, all within 14 dayīs.
But the main reason for not stopping by is that the 38 will probably not ready .......... no i am joking .I will not find the time to come .
Again thanks a lot for the offer and maybe next year ,

Keep up the good work and the even better fottage of your exiting work.
