Well you guys know how it works with me, I got busy and we’re still working on the instrument panel, I got a lot done on the engine compartment over the weekend, all I lack now is water hoses from strainers to the pumps, wiring the ignition, crankcase ventilation to the spark arrestors, connecting the throttle cables to carb linkage, wiring the trim pumps, and whatever else I can’t think of right now…

Thanks guys, we’ve been getting a fair amount done lately. Shon’s been buried in the wiring.
Also got the cabin hatches sealed and screwed down as well as the bow rail sealed to the deck. Brian’s been helping a lot lately too. We got the throttle linkages connected, fuel hoses run, etc.

We got the port motor setup and started it last night. I figured I’d have a few oil leaks, water leaks, etc. Nothing so far. When we first started it and ran if for prolly a minute, I looked at the gauges and saw oil at 0. Killed the ignition, just about puked in my mouth and was thinking of selling the boat unfinished with a bad motor.

Then Shon asked if I was looking at oil pressure or oil temp. I completely forgot about the oil temp gauge which was, in fact, what I was looking at. Fired it back up, we have 50 psi at idle. It runs good. Little rich but we’ll address that. No leaks at all. Heres a video of it running today…
