Why is it I feel like Izzy Moreno on Miami Vice getting my chops busted by Sonny Crocket while working in the bilge of my boat?? 😂

You know coming from you (meaning you definitely know what you are doing) I am curious as well, what do you mean?

He’s talking about the extra part of the aluminum bracket hanging below the fat part of the center stringer. He no likey. 😀

Cut off one of them, sign it and send it to him. Even with his exceptional standards, I’m sure he’d be very happy to own a piece of your boat 🙂

Depends on what scrap aluminum is paying out in California😀

In all seriousness Team Archer (Dan) and I talk on the phone regularly. He’s a nice guy. He’s helped a lot with advice here and there. He’s just kidding about the bracket. (Actually probably not lol)

In other news the steering is just about plumbed. In my 30 footer I always had a pesky hydraulic leak or two that I couldn’t quite get rid of. I ran used hoses in that boat. This boat has all new braided steering hoses with AN fittings. I’m doing my best not to have anything in my bilge but paint.

Also had the drive trim and steering hoses remade. The only hydraulic or cooling hoses that aren’t new are the k plane hoses on the outside of the transom. They are in good shape.

Also cut the floor to fiberglass in some 1-2” aluminum flat bar (Dans idea) that will be drilled and tapped to mount the bolster seats to after the floor is gel coated…

so... how do you fix the plate from falling inside? and what will make them locked in the floor so they don't pull out?
just fiberglass above them ?

I used a 1/2” router on 3/4” plywood, so there’s 1/4” left. It will be glassed in place.

Sarge painting the boat name today. The boat was dead and it also resembles the original tv boats. So “dead ringer”. Get it?!?! 😀
