I elected to pump out my 14 month old 140+ gallons of gasoline from the boat. Just about everybody at the shop got free fill ups or top offs.

Ethan cleaned the paint and applied some meguiars hybrid Ceramic. The paints 2 years old now lol.

We got the port motor installed today. It’s much easier with 3 or 4 people. Still finishing up the hydraulic steering.

I've said it before but I'll say it again, I really, really hope some day to see this boat in person.

Thanks brother but it’s not perfect. There’s a few places that need attention here and there. There’s actually about three places where cracks in the gel got missed and I’m going to redo. This boat had so much work to be done repairing cracks that I missed three places. I’ll post photos later. the sides are blemish free except for some places in the clear that could be block sanded some more.

I spent some time today on the port engine water intake plumbing. And the power steering plumbing. I had to have the reservoir to pump hose shortened 4 inches so it would fit in place.
I have some more stainless hose brackets coming to finish tidying up the hoses.
Although it doesn’t look like it the starboard alternator belt clears everything by a 1/2”.

Also the last photo is looking in the the port stand-off box through the access cover. Notice the dipstick. The dipstick tube has to be removed to install the transmission, then reinstalled after it’s in the boat. I figured that out on my own lol.

Well boys and girls, after 7 years and 3 months. Lots of money (for a poor boy), and probably 5 times more work than money. We’re going to try to run the boat in the local river tomorrow. The upholstery isn’t in the cockpit yet but I’m going to run it to try and work out any kinks before the upholstery is installed. Remember the only thing that wasn’t, replaced, reworked or refurbished or painted is the deck and hull shells.
Finally got the power steering going late tonight…

Tonight, you’ll be like a kid trying to sleep on Christmas Eve.

I’m sure it’ll go well tomorrow, enjoy!
