You are correct on those gauges. Most likely your boat came originally with the Merc 475 Turbo package which would of came with #2 Speedmaster drives but those boost gauges are not original. For whatever reason Wellcraft put Medallion vacuum only gauges in their cluster. When I purchased my Scarab the first item replaced was those original vacuum gauges with boost gauges similar to the ones on your boat. I had to know how much boost the stock set up put out. I'm sure the prior owner did the same. I remember seeing that boat on Lake St. Clair but never got a close look at it back in the day.

It took about three hours to sand the port side of the hull for primer. The starboard side I guess is the side they used to bump all the piers and the pilings with. It’s going to take longer.

Curious at to what you are using to sand the sides/hull? Sander, grit? 3 hrs sound fast.

Yeah the port side literally only had like 3 small scratches to feather out. It was pristine with the original paint. Starboard side has been damaged and refinished. It’s pretty rough. I’m using a 6” dynabrade DA with 80 grit 3M stikit paper.

Not sure if you've seen this in the 'Craigslist Gold' thread yesterday but someone parting out this Scarab and has a radar arch so if the other one doesn't work out for some reason you have a plan B.

Thanks for the link. He thinks it’s already sold. Hoodoo is still checking on his. So hopefully this will pan out.

I got the old water intake holes glassed on the inside and am laying out the ribs for the floor. Also block sanded the port side with a 30” block, it’ll get more slick sand, been stripping the starboard side down into the gel coat. It has spider cracks down into the gel where the black paint was. Starboard side must have been facing south fir all these years and gotten hot and caused the cracks. Also been blocking the deck with 80 grit getting it ready for urethane primer.
