Also been fitting the engines to the boat. Had to have driveline spacers made to keep my driveline from bottoming out on the arneson drives.

Also put my k planes together. Hopefully it’s going to cooling down in Alabama soon and I can start back up...

This is great, it's looking awesome. How you guys match and blend colors so good is way beyond my comprehension
cooler weather be here before you know it. Cant wait to see it painted buddy keep it up.

Was going to ask what your using for rear mounts then i seen how it goes together, nice and clean.
did/does it solve alignment or make it easier when the trans mounting bosses attach to the transom assembly like that?

I guess you could say it’s pretty easy but nothing beats the ease of the Merctrans II setup you can drop a motor in by yourself with ease. This is really easier with two guys. One inside lining up the trans bolts and the other guy on the forklift or hoist.

No I’m still fitting and grinding on it. I’ll seal it up with epoxy when I’m done. The boats been indoors the whole time I’ve had it. It won’t see moisture until it’s ready for it.

In and out, repeat! The fun of custom work
Looks fantastic, thanks for the update
I hung a chain-fall from the forklift so I could do the removal/install by myself

1 step forward 3 steps back. My sailboat and my moms house in gulf shores got rocked by hurricane sally. We were down there last weekend.

worked on the scarab some this week. I had my friend make a 5/8” thick spacer to go between the inside gimbal ring and the transom, as well as making new studs that are longer. This pushes the motors forward so the driveline isn’t bottoming out on the drives. Also Billy painted more trailer parts. Kind of slow go right now but should pick up soon...
