Looks even better in the water... the BIG Johnson twins on the back give it a 1 off cool factor vs. full blown production runs of modern sport boats.

Safe drive and enjoy the boat.

Thanks, I agree. I do honestly like the look of the Loopers on the back! To me its the best of both worlds, being able to keep a sport-boat in the water and using it regularly.

Well....Well much to my dismay the boat was much more of a full blown project then anticipated. I passed on it. Back to the drawing board....

Just now seeing this. Sorry to hear that. Why be reasonable? You could be like me and be working on it 5 years from now. That doesn't excite you?

Did you drive all the way out there and then see that it was much worse than what they represented? That's how it usually goes for me. I had an old cabin cruiser that we had rehabbed back in 2013, and I was going to trade it for a chriscraft stinger 312. The guy sent me photos, promised it was not rotten. Drove all the way from here to the coast of north carolina, and of course it was a rotten turd with spongy cockpit floor. He said all you had to do was "pour hot mix down in there". Complete idiot. I felt like punching the guy.

Hey Heath, sorry I didnt see your other comment above. Its always funny analyzing wtf just happened when you think you’ve asked all the right questions and seen dozens of pics, then you get there and its just not what you thought or the condition wasnt conveyed accurately. Maybe I could have asked more, seen more or maybe I wasnt given the complete story.. After driving all night and day I knew within several minutes it was much more of a project than I had anticipated. My thoughts were that the boat appeared well preserved and cared for, I anticipated the upkeep was decent; the seller also seemed to elude to the fact that it was put away running. The gunnels were all over the place, the forward interior 1/2 bulkhead was making a visible bulge in the side of the hull, the foredeck center coring was soaked and sighting down the deck it looked like a giant wave, the transom was toast with the inner-outter bracket plates pulling through the glass and 1st layer of wood, and the aft cockpit deck was rotten badly.
I almost cried... A real shame but whatever it was only 60hrs of my life for a little lesson in anticipation vs hope vs want vs need vs a little insanity... Ugh...

Sounds like the guy didn’t convey this to you clearly. When I sell something that has problems or blemishes that’s the first thing I want people to know to not waste their time. I sold my hurricane damaged sailboat a few week ago, laid it all on the table for the guy, told him all the problems along with photos. When he came to get the boat he knew what he was getting into. Why can’t everybody just do that? It’s not that difficult. I think these goons think you’re going to get there and overlook that the thing is a train wreck and just buy it. Sorry you went though that. Been there done that.

I agree, laying it all out is just the way to do it; everybody is in the know at that point. Like I said though, not a huge loss I guess. Looking is 1/2 the fun..
