I dunno, this has happened twice now. Couple months ago I went to look at an original 91 Scarab Sport in MD, I asked specific questions about the deck; was told it was solid. I drove 10hrs, took my shoes off and started walking on the deck and it was toast. That guy was a strait up liar.. I had to gather myself up and gracefully get the **** out of there.. This past trip I’m not sure. I dont have the owner pegged.

have you thought of converting something like a Cig Cafe or the like to a O/B?... The brackets are X$, the power you can select according to what you want vs. what's already hanging, and, and, and....

The concept works and may be more options to work with - look at the guy with the Verado Fountain with the blue wrap, he seems like he's over the top with his boat

Sure I’ve thought of that too. I’m coming from a Cafe, I wouldnt do one of those or a TG but I would do a mistress if the right boat came along, however I’d prefer to do a Sutphen if I had a choice. I keep my eyes out for pretty much anything over 28’ thats a factory O/B, Pantera, Sutphen, Tempast, Midnight, Superboat, Scarab, or anything that I could convert that isnt a brick. Lots of theoretic options. I’m trying to keep the project reasonable as I don't have an unlimited budget. Maybe but a hull on a trailer for cash and put a set of new or newer O/Bs on it. That was kind of the plan w the Scarab.
