found the problem

The bar on the lifter became detached and then the roller lifter looks like it turned sideways on the cam. Chewed up the lobe. Hopefully, I caught it before any major damage has occurred.

I used to own a 3. It had no trim senders. Also age is a clue. I believe 3's were only made 1969-1973.

I have a 95 Python Vector. Came with a 365 hp 454 Mag and would run 62 ish with a 23 Mirage plus. After a couple of mods (full hyd steering and 540 ci motor, about 625 hp) she now runs mid 80's.
