You need to change gear ratio. Way to much slip....

You need to change gear ratio. Way to much slip. Try and borrow props and recalculate slip. Maybe drives to high or over trimmed. Try larger diameter.

This is not the first thread about this topic. A pleasure boat should run on pump gas and have a cabin. With that being said boat for boat who has 1075 and runs faster than 145. I know my Outerlimits...

If u ever tried to make real power you would understand all these engines are on the edge. Those motors made a lot of power. Pump gas motors are all having problems who knows quality of fuel.

Think JC rebuilt the motors year or two ago. The 40 is one of the best bottom ever built. For its size there is not another boat of any manufacture that would conpare.

We never changed the deadrise.Mark just cut section of bottom out then cut the sides and stringers up 2 inches and put the bottom back in.Boat road ok to 110 but then was alittle scarry.

That was my old boat. It was the original ocean spray boat. Me and mark shnef stepped the bottom about 10 years ago.Built pair of 1100 and ran well about 125.

great boats the older ones rode better because they were heavier. newer models are faster and still ride very well. depends on speed u are looking to go. 42 gtx with 1000 hp would go 115 or so. newer...
