Starter issue

BBC 572 switch to mini starter a season ago worked perfectly. This season starter was grinding after a run . Then got stuck and to switch if for main switch .
today I bough a new starter put it on...

Extension box -3

Hi , I found an imco 12” extension box but it’s -3 lift.
i have 26 Scarab single engine with 700hp and bravo xr.
what benefit i get if i install this box with 3inch lift ?
