Can you clean the flame arrestor or do you have to replace? if you can clean it what is recommended, thinking of using the K&N cleaner and not putting the oil on it. Thoughts?

not sure why but my boat does not have water pressure gauges and I want to add them. Can someone explain or even better send a pic of where I connect the fittings/ hose to a 525 efi. 2003 motor....
