Thermostat housing just makes the starboard side hotter. Pretty common from what I've seen.
Sometimes it just be like that.

Sounds like you need to find the leak, not sure how much you can be helped over the internet. It sounds like you know where water should be, I'd just look for areas that could leak and go from there....

If it is like mine it's just a stamped 1/4" steel bracket. I welded a support across the top of it and that stopped my belt from shredding.

Just get it good and tight, and indexed properly. I'd recommend nickel anti seize on the threads since it's stainless threading into stainless.

Yes, FYI if you want a shorter harness on the O2 there is NTK 24325, I have used both the Bosch 17025 and the NTK they are the same, just prefer the NTK since I don't need such a long harness.

Serpentine, has the same belt routing and brackets as the 7.4 MPI. Ended up shredding a belt eventually.

Pretty impressive how much exhaust makes a difference. I picked up 10 mph on a 7.4 MPI...
