Add the external reservoir and the cap for the power steering pump. It'll be easier to bleed and maintain level in system. Your regular Merc ps pump will be fine. don't forget the hydraulic sealant...

It'll take 23 Mirage's to get the 242 to run 65. It's the same prop's they were also putting on the 272's with the 350/alpha combo. If you can't spin the 23's, that's why you're not getting the top...

Typ. 65 MPH. Although I think the factory rated the package at 67 MPH. It's a heavy hull, so it takes a nice chop & a lot of trim to get it to dance. The 242 with twin 260's is a sweet package.

$600 for those (2)small chips is way too high. A gelcoat chip kit is way to go. Worse part will be matching shade of purple. But just take your time.
