I had porposing with my 38 gun. I swapped the props to turn in for more stern lift and it helped a lot. Cost is zero and it's worth a try. They say it wont handle well around the docks like that...

I don't think it's a ground issue. Engine turns fine when jumped at the solenoid, either by 12VDC to the coil or by a screwdriver across the posts. I haven't had a chance to get back on it yet. ...

I buddy of mine bought the one from Harbor Freight. He replaced the top beam with something that works for most boats. It's pretty slick! I don't the details of the top beam.
