Just checked with my local Auto Zone, and it is indeed $7.99 a quart. Off to buy 20 of 'em (2 boats, 3 engines worth). Wife will surely say something like, "You spent $160 on motor oil?????"

Re: Marine Lubrication

I prefer the Mobil-1 filter and would like to use the M1-302, but due to space limitations can only use the M1-111. Are any of the others listed shorter than the M1-302 (approx.the same size as the...

Re: Gauges, senders and bezels OH MY

I used the factory panel, but if I were going to do it again I would take it somewhere to have the holes enlarged....see this:

Re: Gutting Silent Thunder

The baffling inside doesn't do much to affect the sound. The muffling that the ST provides is due to water retained inside the ST. If you start cutting holes in the bottom like Insptech did then...

Re: Gauges, senders and bezels OH MY

I changed mine to Livorsi recently, and the only thing that has to be changed is the fuel level sender (in the tank). However, I'm going to change the oil pressure senders, because one engine reads 5...

Re: Few Questions on 600 Powered 382

If he didn't trim the drives at all those numbers are probably about right. If he hasn't driven a performance boat before he might not have even known to do it....

Re: Marine Lubrication

I LOVE the 336! It is the perfect boat for where we are (LOTO), and even though it's 10 years old now it still looks current. The 353 is a stepped hull (mine isn't), and they get great reviews but I...

Re: Marine Lubrication

Hydro,

It would be really great if you would edit the first post in this thread, and in addition to the oil filter cross reference also add the top 3-5 engine oil recommendations, the top 3-5 gear...

Re: Freshwater flushing & silent thunder

I would pull the impeller just to make sure. I normally get lots of water from both sides, even at idle, and when I lost an impeller this summer there was no water coming out the starboard side at...

Re: Oil filter for '96 502 efi

I have a pair of '96 502 MPI's, and I run the Mobil 1 filters. There are 2 that will work, the M1-111 or the M1-302. The 302 is much bigger, but there is not enough room on mine to use them so I use...

Re: Updated the dash in my 336

Go to Trick Marine for the gauges...can't beat the prices. They have the gauge bezels in just about any color, and I bought several to try, but with the Flashpoint graphics the blue is the clear...

Re: Updated the dash in my 336

I did the white as a test, and I wasn't sure whether I was going to like it or not, but I do so next is doing the rest of the panels. I think it might help to tie it in better by doing a black...

Updated the dash in my 336

It's still a work in progress, as I'm waiting for the new fuel gauge sender before I can replace the fuel gauge, and I am now going to powder coat at least the drive/tab panel. I did the main panel...

Anyone need some VDO gauges?

I had a couple that were sticking, so I decided to bite the bullet and replace 'em all with Livorsi. I also took the opportunity to have the dash panel powder coated white, and it looks awesome!...
