I once owned a 382 with "built" motors......absolutely loved the boat. The black 502mags will burn a little oil but they did when brand new. Keep an eye on oil level and they will run almost forever....

I've found the oil can "gunk up" in an old drive oil bottle and while the level looks good, the oil does not flow at all....

FWIW: I'm running a mix of (8) 6.5's and 7.7s off the 4 channels of a 900/5 JL amp.......the additional speakers help fill the space and it works well. (2) 10in subs off the 500 sub channel....
