Ill take the loss in speed for the added versatility of the open bow. Its working out great for us so far. well except the passengers in the front when we take a cruiser wave off the bow lol.

Pretty sure they are even with the bottom of the main hull. There is a small step up at the back just before the props. maybe 3" long. I can double check these measurements next time Im at the lake...

Handles the slop very well. Its the straight on 8' rollers that are a problem. just back off the throttle and hope for the best :drink: .
It gets around soo much better than my lil 25 I had though...

The boat is very slow to plane and seems to be lacking power until it starts to roll over...

Ive heard both ways some say the 28 is a better setup others say the 30 is the better setup.
