I have had over 700 inch N/A motors that were far less reliable then my current 1471 blown 632,s. So keep the ci under 700 and the boost reasonable and you get the best of both worlds. One last thing...

If you are not using an A/F meter than you are just guessing. Take it from someone who has burned or broken more than my fair share of parts. A meter is the only fool proof way of knowing what is...

If you wnt to go fast look for a smith boat. Even the older ones were all hand built and the construction is far better than the regular scarab's. I have an 89 with 1100's and it handles great in any...

Re: What's the Speed Tomorrow?

I believe it is more about the power than the hulls. Yes the hulls do make a diffrence but I just repowered an 89 hull with twin 1100's and all of the previous asumptions that I made about the speed...

Re: 300 Tempest tune-up: Holley 650?

Is the Holley a vac or a double pumper?

If it is a double pumper it is more performance oriented and I can easily explain how to crisp it up if you tell me exactlly what it is doing. The 650 vac...

Re: Headgaskets ?

The cometics are an mls gasket not a graphite composite and that is why they can handle the boost so well and are normally installed dry. In my aplication there was a question of one embossment that...

Re: Headgaskets ?

I agree about the coper gaskets. I have run several coper gaskets with o-rings and if you spike the water preasure they will leak for sure almost regardless of the sealer used on the water ports....

Re: Fastest Non Step V-Hull

As far as handling goes nothing beats a staggered setup. They fly much better due to the forward CG. I personally prefer the way they turn but some people have commented they feel like you slide more...

Re: Fastest Non Step V-Hull

The numbers everyone is posting is about what I have heard. 120 mph in a non step hull seems to be about the limit. We are currently testing a 38 kv scarab with about 2200hp total. 120 should be no...

Re: 38 Ls Scarab vs. 41 Saber

Saber is a nice boat but I have a staggered LS 38 with 2400+ HP Rough or Calm She is up for the run. Can't beat what you get in a LS for the price Sabers are nice if the $$$$$ aren't being considered.

Check out the ones offered by imco they work and look great. I run a set on mine and no oil problems and I am blown wich usually creates more psi than naturally aspirated.
