Sounds like maybe a pinion seal for the drive oil in the bellows. I would have all the seals checked or just replaced for that matter. Good luck.

Why not just drain the block, manifolds, mufflers, etc... Fuel stabilizer and fog if wanted. Then run -100 through it and be done. It should be just that easy. Or am I wrong????

You should also check the 90 amp fuse on the starter. Another idea could be the boats main harness. Do you have a 12v power supply going to the helm?

Belt dust usually kills them also. We have seen a lot in our shop also. They just changed the design for the filter in the small blocks this year. We will see howit goes.
