prop question

i have a set of 5 blade 17x26 herrings 22 degree rake and they work great. but when talking to the people at herring they recommended a 17x26/27 5 blade at 18 degree rake.

what does the rake...

i have a pretty basic/older set up and not much power ( #5 drives w/700hp 2x)
at first i was reluctant to try 5 blades so i went with 3 and 4 blades but i recently tried a set of 5 blade herrings...

i have tried 17x30 4 blades which were too big, 16x29 which gave me trouble getting on plane because of the small diameter,17x29 which wouldnt spin enough,

currently putting #5's on it now
