All i really meant by "chinese gear" is that sometimes you get a new part that is bad . A lower quality new part is more likely to have problems than a high end part . Do you know the brand of gear...

Try a non Chinese gear. if distributor was fine with old gear and no shims with new gear equal zero, throw that gear away

Red, blue or black would pretty much cover it for me . They look good and I like the abrasion protection. Have you got an idea on pricing yet? I wouldn't care about logo as long as not big print ....
