itilldo, I drive a single wheel 1-ton 4x4 chevy. Why couldn't you look into keeping your single rear wheels, and just upgrade your wheels and tires.

I had a similar problem with a boat that had twins. One would go down alot faster than the other. Long story short, After replacing trim pump(complete), It was the cylinders that had to be rebuilt....

The biggest thing is to get the water out of the block at the bottom drains. For my area especially, On a river when you have alot of sand. This will plug up some of the drains once in a while.

I've done about 40 boats in the past few weeks, Have been doing for quite a few years now. The warm up first so the t-stat will open is a good idea, But it doesn't work!!! Unless your anti freeze you...

I will have to disagree on the 502's. My buddy put two new 502's in and they ate almost twice the amount of fuel over some modified 454's. You would really like some 496's even if you went with new...

You are right Mentalpause, It is only between the first strake and the chine on the outside. I really don't think the "tug" gets them all the way out of the water, But maybe? Have you ever heard that...
