I have a 1997 model year of the exact same boat. Your speeds are right in line with what I have experienced. Best i saw was 83 in one direction and 81 returning.

Definitely needs more fuel than my HP525SC motors. The mechanical pump seems to be fine for my application. Currently my fuel pumps are as they came from Mercury. I haven't tried the rebuild kit yet....
