My 35 Ex has one too (no anchor locker)...my guess is it's a drain for the void where the anchor locker would be! Someone will know, have to wait and hear from the right person!

I used a Fortress aluminum anchor in my '04 29 anchor locker with 150' of rode and 5' of chain. I had to cut the bar at the fluke end about 4" but it did not seem to make a difference in holding...

The stereo is a standard din unit and should have come with the "keys" to remove it in the bag with the manuals, test sheet, etc. Just insert the keys on each side of the unit and it should pull out...
