What exhaust will you be running? The 741 cam will not be too big. For a 6k rpm combo, it will actually be a bit small for a 496ci. Id also lean towards a single plane intake on a combo like this.

I agree. Ssm gen 3 are great on forced induction due to their sheer size. NA, they just dont have the runner length. Regular stainless marine manifolds, probably give up 40hp or better on a 650hp NA...

I had holley carbs on boats since 2003. Everything from twin 850 quick fuels on blower motors, single dominator setups, and single 4150 setups. I can honestly say, ive never "blown" a powervalve.
