ZF Hurth 63A Trans

I am looking for a ZF 63A transmission with the 8 degree down angle flange. Needs to be 1.5 to 1 ratio. Also any related parts like mounts, oil cooler, bellhousing and coupler for a GM application.

Try pushing down on the tab while someone operates the switch. I agree with US1 The piston in the tab ram may have "passed" the point where the oil under pressure enters the ram.

I put three sets on 525SCs in a 47 Fountain. They have been on for two seasons with no problems. It is SO much easier to get to the plugs too. Plus they give the bilge some extra "bling" :D

I had a CJ5 "back in the day" with the AMC V8 and the 3 speed trans on the floor. The H patern for shifting was reverse top left and first gear bottom left. When you got stuck you could "rock it"...

I had the same thing happen on a 525sc which is basically a 454 with a 177 blower on it. The fuel pump was going bad and it would start to back fire when it was starving for fuel. Its kinda the same...

I would check your fuel supply again. If you have a stock fuel pump set up it is run from a small cam which is part of the sea water pump assembly. If you unbolt the fuel pump there should be gear...

Not being a mechanic by trade these are my favorite tools for working on the boat. All my other tools like to jump out of my hands into the bildge so I use these alot :D They work for nuts and bolts...
