Ok here we go again!
I would like to show the general audience of Offshore Only how someone takes a perfectly fine running 46 Skater sporting
Lycoming T53 Turbines apart for general maintenance and inspection.
Its been 5 years lets Rock!


Please understand that just because you read it on the internet it must be true!
Nothing in the following thread should be tried at your local airport or at home!

Nice how much room you have in a hull that was originally designed for 4 engines

Starter generator SCS makes a nice top mount for this keeping it above the bilge[IMG][/IMG]

both engines in the shop.
start with port which ran a little hot.
drain the oil from the custom sumps.

the oil sump tank is now removed exposing the compressor housings. Which happen to be Stainless Steel versions that
Jim at PPS provided.

ok i have alot to post i have the hot sections all over my garage
here is a shot showing the fresh air intake aswell as the caliper scs gear box
the compressors are the stainless versions supplied by Jim at PPS!

here is the crashbox removed [IMG][/IMG]Notice the accumulation of brake dust fortunately the air intake isolates this from the turbine.
