Gerry, With all the work you've done, what do you think the estimated HP will be and overall MPH you might look forward to? Again, I give you a lot of credit
for undertaking the project.....not many would ever even try to do what you did.

Turbines and shaft drives would be bullet proof.
I don't know the recommended maintenance on a mercury 1350 however Turbines in a boat should yield at least 1500 hours service.
Then at that point maybe a basic inspection.
The Turbines love to run for extended periods. They are aircraft engines designed primarily for steady state operation. These engines
fitted in a large hull with sufficient fuel will take you almost certainly where you want to go.
After running these engines it would be difficult for me to go back to pistons.
Some drawbacks is smell, aggravating noise, and fuel consumption.
Hope this helps.

I thought my was ok when I just measured last week. 43 mile trip into New Orleans ... 1.4mpg but was running tabs down and drive tucked at around 43mph due to kids in rough water. Figured that wasn't bad considering conditions.

Fuel consumption worst than pistons? What kind of gph?

the turbines will consume close to 150gph per engine at 1400shp

the rail has 1/8 inch jets in it. they are fed by a 30 gallon poly tank and it will consume it in approx 10 minutes.
