AppSysConns, You seem knowlegable on props. I just bought a 25 Talon w/ 300 pro max mercs. It has 32p merc. cleavers. If you really string it out it will hit the limiters with these. (6400) I want more midrange what about 4 blade 30p cleavers?

Generally speaking, as you add blades, you need to drop the pitch. Also adding blades, adds stern lift.
CG (center of gravity) and angle of attack, are very important on cats. It is a delicate balance of the forces.
My first guess would be to add 1 blade (from 3 to 4) and reduce pitch by 1 inch.
My recommendation would be to find a propeller vendor that will works with you, this gives you access to real expertise. I deal with Julie & Matt at Throttle-Up propellers in St. Pete, FL. They really understand propellers, make great stuff, and work with the customer until the customer is satisfied.

I had tested quite a few props from different manufacturers, some 3 blade, some 4 blade and some 5 blade. All were over hub, cleavers. Various changes to set up were also tested, prop shaft height, toe, and rotation direction.
In every aspect of the testing; getting on plane, vibration, acceleration, handling, mid range speed, top end speed, fuel economy, dependability, and repeatable top end speed the Throttle-Up 4 blade, over hub, cleavers, performed the best of the bunch.
With the exception of handling these were not subjective tests. We recorded quantitative data, like RPMs, water pressure, water temp, fuel flow, GPS MPH, and fuel consumption from the Smart Craft Race Edition SC5000 system. We also recorded, ambient air temperature, humidity, ambient water temperature, and sea conditions.
With respect to top end speed, I have 2 runs where the MPH on the MR 3 blade props, were the 2 highest speeds the boat has ever gone. They were in winter when it was 70s and no humidity, I did hot have the TU 4B props, at the time, and I am talking about 1/10s of MPH. I have not been able to repeat those speeds, with any props, including the MR 3B props. To be fair to MR, they do get credit for the fastest run to date.
Bottom line, the only props that go on my Skater, for the last year or so, are Throttle-UP 4 blade, over hub, cleavers.
In the most recent Ft. Myers Offshore run, We ran 114.7 miles, burned 48.7 gallons of 93 octane. That's 2.335 MPG and we were not dogging it, we were first to reach the lunch stop.

ASC thanks for sharing that with us I currently run the TU 14.75 X 35 (4 blades) for top end and the TU 14.5 X 32 (5 blades) for heavy loaded conditions, wish the 32's were 33's. Every MR prop I've put on the boat has eventually tossed a blade or 2 including the 4 blade props.

"Every MR prop I've put on the boat has eventually tossed a blade"
That was the initial reason I stopped using MR props.

I do have the SC5000 system view, (race edition), and I would NEVER build another boat without it or a similar digital monitoring and data capture system. It is great!
Most people that re-rig (a freind just did his 30 Motion with 250XS), use current generation Livorsi analog quages, driven off an AGI box, and then add a system view or smaller system monitor.
