Thanks, I put new smartcraft Tach's and Trim guages in, they don't register, but I plug in my old SC1000 and they are recognized right away.

The Smartcraft gauges may need to be sync'd with a Mercury computer.

I think I read somewhere that somebody installed bravo 1 props that maybe were a tick slower on the big end but really overall ran well . Anybody else recall this ?

That is a round ear prop, which will change the lift characteristics of the transom and bow, which will change the angle of attack, and that could be dangerous at speed.

Someone did try a Bravo-1 on a 30 Skater, and reported better low to mid range cruise, than a 3 blade cleaver, which I would expect.

I had tried the Hydromotive 4 blade Quad 4, on my 37 Outerlimits, and I found that it generated more stern lift than the Bravo-1 4 blade prop. At the time, I had not expected this, so I tried them again a few weeks later, and found the same thing. On a big, V-bottom like the OL with an very good bottom, it works well.

As I am sure you know, to much stern lift, in a lite O/B cat, is not a good thing.

Were you Hydro props quad 4 or quad 4-x ? I ran both on vee bottom , one is cleaver style and other is round ear . Just thought the cleaver style might work

It was way back in 1999, and I thought the were Quad 4. I recall they looked very different from the Bravo-1 props I had on at the time. The guy I borrowed them from had a cat.

Just way to long ago to be certian.
