etc

just curious how the optimax'es are doing with the 32 skaters. Then we can plot on a graph, maybe it's bell curve shaped...or maybe it hits a plateau and flattens out

thanks....noli

I do have quite bit of data; however, most of it is at the 'trip' level, and some is during
prop testing.

Doing what you are suggesting, in very interesting, but requires more detailed data
than I have, at various RPM points.

I do know, my MPG is varies about 20% between 40mph and 100+mph, from
2.4MPG down to 2.0MPG, not necessarily linear.

One interesting thing, is that in FMO organized runs, when I run hard, for long
periods of time, I seem to get some of my best overall MPG.

woops, forgot the 3rd measure...speed

RPM, MPG, MPH

would be great starting at 1000RPM in increments of 1000RPM

I agree that it would not be linear.

This would be very good info to compare a skater 308 against say a 32B

if we can get a 32B owner to do the same using similar 300XS power

Getting my data into a format to show this on a graph.

More to follow.....shortly

I need a third metric, MPG

how would I calculate that?

I tried doing this:

miles/hr * hr/gal = MPG

but the numbers aren't jiving.

Do we need to populate the right-vertical bar with sth else????

I used the GPH from my SmartCraft SC5000 system view,
race edition to calculate the MPG, but I forgot to fix the label.
It has been since fixed.

The green line is MPG (normalized to fit on graph). It's range is 2 - 2.8 GPH

This is great.

Just so that my readings are calibrated properly, the MPG is flat on RPM: 4100 and 4200.

What is the MPG reading on that flat spot?

I also wonder what the MPG graph might look when the RPM is 1200 to 2900

Thanks a bunch

Remenber this is 'normalized' data collected over 4 years,
130 different RPM readings, real world use

RPM/MPG
4000 2.8
4100 2.8
4200 2.8

Have not bothered to collect under 3000 RPM

Thanks Frank!

I understand the MPG range of 2 - 2.8 now

cool graph!
