As I have mentioned earlier in this thread, I bought a full Livorsi Guage package through Bill at Diamond Perfromance. Speedo, tachs, water pressure, water temp, fuel pressure, voltmeter, and fuel level.
After getting the panels back, I wanted to see what it all looks like together.

Dave,
The dash looks great!! Do you mind if I ask where you had the panels made?

I saw it when okie had it. He had big plans for it too but now has two small children(1 then). He knew he didn't have the time to put into it. You have done a stellar job. I would love to see it in person when done.

Thanks I appreciate the compliment, I'm glad to have the right people work on the Skater, it sure has been a big undertaking.
yeh, I was lucky to get it from okie, plus i was able to finance it just before the big bank problem.
I always wanted a 36 skater outboard,
I had talked to john robinson about buying it before okie swooped in

Man, Dave! I like what you're doing! yeh the skater is going to be ready to crane into the water now. Anybody have a strap for sale?
Pretty and clever with the radius notch on the tunnel pods!:drink:
I've never seen that done with the non-skid before, that's supercool!:drink:

Shoes have to come off early

waterboy222 05-17-2011 09:42 AM

Dave those non slip stickers are bad-A! I love them.. I may be hitting you up for some of those...

KEVLARKAT32 05-17-2011 09:51 AM

Looks great ! Are you bolting jack plates to transom with some kind of stainless plate to keep jack plate edge from chaffing paint ?

Jolley 05-17-2011 09:52 AM

Incredible job you guy's..... OUTSTANDING !!!!!!!:drink:

Thats actually the way they were originally mounted and these were pretty much what was on it except they were the stainless ones (weighed a ton). Are we missing something? What would chafe? Do you have an example pic of what you are referring to? Thanks

Lemmie know, right now i only have black though. I can get clear but the quantity i have to buy is kinda pricey. I can do pretty much any logo in it

KEVLARKAT32 05-17-2011 11:52 AM

Yes I will post pix later . 0.90 stanless plates that get sandwiched between jack plates and transom . Yes the stainless Jack plates are a bit heavier but they are the only plates rated for severe offshore use . In your case you will most likely be OK only because those 2.5 wegh I think 350 lbs . In my case I have 3 Litres that weigh 505 . I had same alum plates on a checkmate that started to fail @ slot area after a few years of use . Just trying to help . If you need plates I can hook you up with them

I think the plates used between the jackplates and transom are good insurance with offshore outboard applications.:ernaehrung004:

Hey Dave, how bout a game of "guess that part" lol :drink:

davidmercury 05-18-2011 12:16 PM

36 skater project

Well, that first one is easy, because you gave me a clue yesterday, being the water block. No. 2 would be the bezels that you made to protect the cut outs above the fuel tanks. No. 3 is that nice little drain that you replaced between the canopies, No. 4 I'm stumped:grinser010:

glassdave 05-18-2011 12:27 PM

the round ones are for the hole for the tank fill, figured as long as i was there that could also benefit from the protection as well.

Thanks for thinking of that too!:drink:

glassdave 05-18-2011 09:08 PM

Hey Dave since you probably wont be racing this thing maybe you could just use those mammoth lifting rings on the transom for water skiers :D

SS930 05-19-2011 06:28 AM
