It was 6,000 rigged with the triples and old rigging. It will be interesting to see what it tips the scales at with the extra engine, battery and assorted rigging and weight gain from the bulkhead repairs and two gallons of paint that Dave applied.

Bill at Diamond Performance was nice enough to find and send me this polished steering shaft bezel for the dash of my Skater. It's a beautiful piece. He also came up with a connection for the rigid carbon fiber dash panels (in colors). This has been a great project to work on. There is alot available when it comes to parts and accessories out there, the internet is helpful but we need people like that who can steer you in the right directions.
Thanks Bill! :ernaehrung004:

Hey that thing is cool, gonna look good on there.

I like a lot of the high end parts available to the performance oriented markets...not just for the bling but also for their abuse-capacity and ease of use.

That helm is awesome!!

Another one I personally like is this:

I decided to go ahead an update the wheel/tire situation on the trailer. Stopped in to check out new paint job and see how new wheels look on trailer. The new paint job turned out fantastic, and I like the new wheel tire combo. The center chrome plated bearing caps will be added after the ends are cut out for maintenance access.

noli 04-16-2011 11:27 AM

wow!

Awesome job :)

When will the cat be cradled by this georgous trailer again?

Thanks but no thanks, I've come this far, the finished result is kinda in sight now, but how much do you want for those 2.5's?:ernaehrung004:

I want to save these for some future project. These were built by Alex Hledin so they're somewhat rare. Good luck on your project...looks awsome.

While the boat and trailer are getting tweaked I wanted to plan out, and purchase all of the necessary items to redo the cockpit dash and console area.
To start, I had to trace out patterns to match the left and right side as well as the center section of the dash for the purpose of getting carbon fiber panels custom made to match.
after that, I used polished bezels to trace the positions for all of the guages using the appropriate sizes. This also helped in eyeballing everything to see how it would fit together.

I want to use a Garmin 5212 GPS but do not have one yet. I contacted Garmin.com and they sent me the 5212 cut out template for the dash so that I could include that in my patterns.
Also needed to come up with a plan for the switch panel that mounts at an angle between the console and center section.

Bill at Diamond Performance found a company for me that makes the carbon fiber dash panels for many big name boats. After cutting and marking the patterns He directed me to send them to Steve at Innatech.
After the technical/design stages, tweaking, etc. my panels arrived
These pictures really don't do them justice. I'm impressed with the the quality and precision. Steve does fantastic work.
