rigged, you worked and spoke to them quite a bit more than me I believe but I got the same feeling....they don't want anything to do with the getting something done on the 28's

Tborish, thought you sold your 24???? it was for sale right?

The way they advertise on here you would think you could get one. Based on what I got out of them they are OEM only. I would not waste my money advertising then as a business owner. Keep me posted. I may give Chris a call.

28 windshield

my dad sold the molds he had built for my 28 to aero marine, they will be producing the winshields, i am sure they will produce a beautiful part.

Double Rigged 01-26-2013 07:10 AM

Joe any idea when? How lomNg ago. Looks like we may have a couple of options coming if Chris gets theis done. I emailed him Friday to check on progress.

Really looking forward to seeing this project. In the next few years i want to make my first cat purchase. I really enjoy the 28, but don't like eating wind in the face. I am hoping that the windshield design also helps out the back seat passengers like it does for the rear seat of the bigger skaters with wrap arounds.

LAriverratt 01-28-2013 10:40 AM

blume made mention of being able to get a new 28 with a wrap around in a thread some where not long ago so something must finally be moving forward :party-smiley-004:

Here is how you get a new 28' Skater with a wrap around windshield, you have to buy a flat deck 28'. Here are a few pictures of a 30' flat deck with the windshield. The 28' OB flat deck would look very similar.

i would love a new one...seeing as I have the first 28 ever built...would you do an even swap for the first 28 wrap around windshield ever built :D

ryder638 01-29-2013 09:08 AM

2 absolutely beautiful boats plus easy to tow, store, fuel efficient, and still do 100mph

DrGaryDC 01-29-2013 09:14 AM

What kind of performance would you see out of a 28 flat deck outboard

LAriverratt 01-29-2013 09:44 AM

i would assume you might loose a little top end. not sure how it would affect handling. still should be in the triple digits though i would think.
I suppose that it may be better $$ getting the 30' model...there may not be that big of a difference in performance.

As far as speed and accelleration goes the 28' will outperform the 30 by a least 10mph with the same power from the numbers that have been posted in the past. Not sure about rough water but the 30 may have an edge or not depending on the set up.

i have looked at this 28 many times and love it. Would have considered it if it had twins and not trips. I've said it before, this is the best looking windshield to date!!!

Ryan Beckley 01-29-2013 12:55 PM

What do they want for the 28' trippple?! That thing is sick!

motion 01-29-2013 11:38 PM

triple 28 skater

Got an email back from Rik today regarding a windshield. Aeromarine got the molds from Joe that were used on the 28' windshield with triples. He told me they are being cast as we speak and that he should have them back in a few weeks. Once he has them they will make the glass to fit.
Hope to see something in time before summer.

any news or info on progress????

AeroMarineOne_Girl 06-18-2013 08:39 PM

Aero Marine is now offering a 28 Skater 5 PC Windscreen for those who are ready to purchase. I originally sold two sets a few months back to two gentlemen who paid for them to be the first with the windscreen assembly. They were patient and they ordered direct through Aero Marine. I will post their photos as soon as I have them.

We are very excited about the new Aero Marine windscreen assembly and I am taking orders now. We are offering clear or light or medium tint to the acrylic. I actually had the opportunity to work on Paul Wallner's 28 Skater a year ago and I then knew what needed to be configured/modified - Paul wants nothing less than perfection!

Thank you Richard Ostman in Sweden and Steve Kimble in Atlanta! Thank you Paul Wallner for all your help/support with the photos!

looks like this skater...was that 113mph with 300x, 300xs or 2.5's?????

300x I'm thinking

Double Rigged 11-14-2013 03:21 PM

the boat has 300xs's. Runs down a river. Has videos posted at 114mph.

LAriverratt 11-14-2013 04:09 PM

114mph??? down river, tail wind, ores and a sail ??? LOL

Lake rat Skater 11-14-2013 07:16 PM

I would think a well set up 28 with 300 xs could run 110-114 pretty easy, with dbr mods I bet mid to high teens is not out of the picture.
