Here ya go Gary !!! 600 HP smallblock with 2 year warranty. I have to admit, they're cool. Retooled a 400 smallblock to accomodate the 4.250 piston of a big block 454. Its the same size as a 400ci SBC.

If one wanted to go with a side-by-side SB set up what would change in the hull layup? And I know the standard answer on the staggered set up is its just expensive to do but maybe Rick or someone could go into a little more detail as to why a staggered BB set up is not already running. I still toss around the idea of using twins but I'm running out of time to make decisions...

There is no difference in the hull layup of a twin SB configuration. We just have to set up the stringers in the engine compartment differently.
As for a twin BB. The deck and cockpit liner would have to be modified. Alot of tooling and work involved.

GM Performance Parts sells a 425HP/383 cube aluminum head small blocks (ZZ383) for around 5k each.
Add closed cooling, marine accessaries, and EFI, another 5K each. Stainless Marine aluminum exhaust manifolds with stainless risers for 2K each.
Hook them to standard Bravo drives and you're good to go.
Total about 18K per side...
The boat is not going to crack 100, but for sure 90+... :evilb:

MY BUDDIE BUILDS MARINE 383,s 425HP FOR 6K. YOU DO NEED TO COME WITH SOME TYPE OF USABLE CORE. HES BUILDING 2 NOW FOR A SEARAY. CARB TO PAN WITH EXHAUST FOR 6K. I STILL LIKE THE TWINN IDEA BUT I REMEMBER SOMETHING ABOUT THE MOTORS BEING TO HIGH IN THE BOAT TO GET THE DRIVE HEIGHT CLOSE. LOWER THE MOTORS AND -3 IMCO LOWERS.
