Finally got some rigging done on boat today, weather last week was summer like and shop got very busy, cold rainy weather coming in so should make alot of progress.Got transom cut today and put a coat of white awlgrip in bilge.I had alot of figuring to do with this new setup,so had a lot of factors before cutting.Everything looks good,14qt pan clears, outdrive mounted as low as possible(bottom bolts close to notch)but this puts prop shaft 1 bellow bottom, might need spacers. When i set motor in tommorrow i will see how much room for headers, going to be close.I really want to run big tubes and they are tall.Teague has a set of custom 2.125 cmi big tubes downturn 24 tall(crankcenterline),they will be close.THe hardins are way to tall 29-crankcenterline.The boat needs down turns or the tails will hit platform.

Making good progress on boat, custom made water pickup should work good, konrad installed,k-planes installed, motor mounts fabricated, front and rear.Going to pull mounts paint, and finish painting bilge. The white awl-grip is really nice cleans real well and is very hard when fully cured.Much nicer than gelcoat finish.Ordered big tube cmi from teague, have them in stock, from our measurements they are going to be close.Crossing my fingers, don't want to modify hatch. Also ordered billet battery boxes and custom sea strainer from teague.Hoping to be water testing in a couple of weeks

Dave.... That's going to be one class act! Going to be up at Kurt Lawver's place this summer. We'll stop by and have a looky! BTW, I think your old 20 cig from the mid 80's is in the Boattrader. Those were some good times back on the Rhode river! Gary

Hey rick, how was your trip down south?Boat will be launched soon.Pulled aluminum mounts out of bilge today and painted them that silver/platinum same as on engine, looks real trick.Going to finish awl-grip in bilge tommorow, got everything else comming in to finish, need to let bilge paint harden up a little before climbing back into, got all cables in today and steering hoses ordered and should be in soon.Ordered them thru imco they use all ss ends which is installed with crimp ends.
