Testament to a great engine builder . The Dart Big M that Dave built and put in the Y2K finally gave out . 7 Years , 215 hours , 3 Owners , 3 Drives , 10 bodies of water , and countless other boats that couldn't believe they got their a$s handed to them by a single 30+ .
Nothing broke it just started loosing speed and a few other tell tell signs . Still started like a dream and sounded great . Motor apart and rings were rounded as expected . All but one bearing still had the coating that ACL use to use on them . And the cylinders were within one thousandth from where Dave told me they were when he built it . Block still looks new .
I'll be putting it back together soon and I hope it will come close to the longevity that it had with Dave's assembly .

Thank you Dave. She's got 278hours on her now; I bought her from you with 199. I've done nothing to the engine and outdrive other than change the oil. Well not entirely true, I change the stock valve covers for some blue ones and changes the noisy Holley fuel pump for a Carter, neither was necessary though...
