In this thread I did say that I boat out of LI using my dad's Grady White boat and recently his Wellcraft center console. My dad lives in Smithtown. But I live in NJ. Hopefully the 34 completes its rigging over the winter and in the spring I will be testing the 34 for longer runs to Virgina beach starting from Barnegat Bay. The first leg of my travels will be to Newfoundland. Hopefully by this first leg I would have some solid engine tests with rerproducible mpg vs. mph vs rpm numbers.
If the MPG does not meet my requirements, then I will just do island hopping from country to country starting from the Bahamas and go South to Chile via the Panama Canal. Big dreams and small wallets really don't mix all too well :) |
where are you getting her rigged ???

back to the Superboat factory...hopefully JC will do it :)
The engines and the hardware will be at JC by mid October as the engines take 2 weeks to deliver. The engine deal will be finalized end of next week. We'll see how the Verado 250s MPG works out...well I hope :) |

I'm not in a rush. I want the job done right and JC takes his time to do it right. Plus he knows the boat inside-out. I've seen JC complete the rigging on the test boat that went around Long Island rather quickly. Plus he's got the winter to rig the 34...how long could this take?

My bad...I think you're right:)
Anyone hangin' out at the NJ Offshore Powerboat races tomorrow? I was there today to see the practice runs...was chattin' with JC Jr. Nice guy. Pleasant to talk to. We were by the OUTRAGEOUS racing team areas. The racing starts tomorrow at 12 Noon. The best view of the race would be by the Manasquan River inlet beach area. |
