Who said the Verado's doesn't take steering plates? :cool-smiley-011:

Superbabi 05-02-2008 08:03 PM

noli, r u going quads ???? :cool-smiley-011:

noli 05-02-2008 10:59 PM

I will go for twins initially. But they will be spaced apart as if there was a third engine in between them. This way there won't be a need to move the two existing Verados, no need to fiberglass any holes, etc. The third engine will be installed by the next owner.

Thinking of selling, already ??

FX10 05-03-2008 07:20 AM

I'll be going to the shop today to do some work. I'll get some pics up tonight.
Noli, won't you lloose alot of speed by seperating the motors that far apart. I thought for speed, they should be as close as possible. If your worried about someone in the future putting trips on it. Let him worry about filling a few holes (no big deal). We're also talking about fuel economy here.

noli 05-03-2008 10:54 AM

That's a good point. I will have them installed closer then.

Thanks for the info. :cool-smiley-011:

Superbabi 05-29-2008 05:01 AM

Rick, looking real nice !!! Is the deck all ready to be mated to the hull ???

FX10 05-29-2008 05:44 AM

Yeah Gary, the deck is done. We only need to glass the side bunks in the cabin, on either side of the fuel tank, and glass in the rigging tube. and the hull will be complete. Then it's assembly time.

z.zuperboat 05-29-2008 06:05 AM

Assembly time ! Nice !! John better start with the energy drinks now !! LOL

noli 05-29-2008 06:21 AM

Rick, nice job!

How many gallons does the 3 tanks total up to?

FX10 05-29-2008 06:28 AM

I think it's something like 225 gallons

noli 05-29-2008 07:30 AM

Thanks Rick.
I need ~400 gallons.
87 + 87 + 225 = 399
We're there!!!!

The above are just a few ways to get to Europe. You guys can design the rest of the trip itineraries to complete the journey to the Mediterranean Sea :cool-smiley-011:

Yikes! I hope the 34 stays together :D

There are ocean wave models that predepicts ocean wave sizes upto days in advance:

http://www.opc.ncep.noaa.gov/

FX10 06-01-2008 08:46 AM

I don't think you have to worry about the thing staying together. It's being built like the S.S. Titanic. Unsinkable!!!
Those noaa charts are really cool. wave heights and all.

noli 06-01-2008 04:46 PM

This is another nice site that tells you the ports for any given country. The link below is for Greenland with GPS readings.

FX10 06-10-2008 05:35 AM

The cabin bunks on either side of the forward fuel tank are in. Also the rigging tube to feed the fuel lines from the cabin is glassed in. I'll try to have a few sahots up tonight.

Superbabi 06-11-2008 04:18 AM

Rick, how hot has it been in your shop this week ??? Photos Please !!!!

z.zuperboat 06-11-2008 11:03 AM

Y dont you start with a trial run from the statue of liberty to NC !! In less than 6hrs and 10 minutes and beat Reggies new record. HMMMMMMM. I think they avareraged like 65mph. 400 miles I think it was.

FX10 06-14-2008 08:09 AM

Mike, thats a great idea!!!
Noli, got the hull interior fully sanded. And started the gelcoating.
