I may be going with a single 300 Verado to get the maximum mpg. In that case the 34 eill only do about 40~40 mph tops.
When I put trips maybe I can chase that record. :)

Noli, got the hull interior fully sanded. And started the gelcoating.

That sounds great Rick.
Any new pics yet? :D :D

z.zuperboat 06-23-2008 06:50 AM

I found fountains record here on the board somewhere. It gave important details like MPH and MPG. Fuel used and so on. The 34 is a big boat for a single. Something happens and your stuck with a single. Outrun a storm with a single good luck.

noli 07-17-2008 09:54 AM

I found the article, it's doable in a SuperBoat. Probably when I'm done cruising around and the title is not too far off reach...I might.

Found out that the external Verado steering plates are being done by Marine Machine in FL. They custom fabricate the plates/tie-bars and are sold throughout the US. Something that Mercury Marine does not have yet[for the Verado Line].

They work closely with Deep Impact boats.

The final setup for the 34 will be triple Verado 350 [I hope the transom holds together].

I will be mesin' around with a single just to see how the boat runs and the kind of mileage it gets.

FX10 09-25-2008 06:16 PM

Noli, the hull, deck, liner and all the parts are there. Pulled the deck, hull liner and all the parts. It took 2 days to clear the shop out for these pulls, Now the asembly begins !!! Boat looks sweet !!

were all waiting !!!! Noli is she gonna splash this year ??

noli 10-06-2008 09:02 PM

I'd like to first see what stage the 34 is in. I haven't been at the factory in a while. Without putting stress on Rick, I need to get a feeling of when the 34 will be delivered. Then we can estimate the splash date (lucky for me we're not putting together a jet engine SB). Will delivery be in October or November?

Say the production team completes the 34 by end of Oct and I take delivery in Oct. And I can get a pair of 350SCi in early November then it's possible to splash this year.

FX10 10-07-2008 05:12 AM

Noli, the boat is moving right along. Glassed the entire hull to deck seam and the motor well to the hull. Today the fairing entrance way will go in.

z.zuperboat 10-07-2008 05:50 AM

I think its time for a covert move to visit the factory today. Its been awhile. How do you like you coffee again Rick.

noli 10-07-2008 02:00 PM

...shaken not stirred :drink:

noli 10-07-2008 02:11 PM

zuperboat...what'd ya see?? Tell me all about it.

z.zuperboat 10-08-2008 05:44 AM

Rick and Bob where both working on your boat. The dash was going in. Looks almost ready for power. I looked around the shop and didnt see anything to hang on the back. Where are the motors ?

FX10 10-08-2008 07:15 AM

Going together fast now Noli!!

noli 10-08-2008 10:10 AM

:D

The 350's will be ordered after I take deilvery of the 34. Haven't decided yet who'll be doing the rigging.

FX10 10-10-2008 11:31 AM

Thank god for the camera phone. 3.2 megapixl. not to shabby for a camera phone.

noli 10-12-2008 06:16 AM

Those pics are impressive for a camera phone. Keep 'em comin'. Love seeing the build progress. :D

These are very bad economic times. What the h*ll am I doin' building a 34?

z.zuperboat 10-13-2008 06:23 AM

Noli I know what your doing. Your going to enjoy life. Im sure you work hard and this is just one of the fruits of your labor. At the rate gas is dropping it will be 50 cents a gallon next year. So your 401k will be gone so what! We are all in the same boat together. The only people that are going to have real money are the ceo,s who bankrupt the companies but gave their buddies a billion dollar bonus. The rest of us shleps will have to work forever.

noli 10-14-2008 07:48 PM

Yesyou're right. I do work hard. We all do. And we need to go boating! It doesn't matter what the market conditions are, gotta go boating!

When times are hard the Vikings didn't stay at home, they went boating. Ok they killed for food and territory, but that's another story.

We will have to work forever and that's why we need to go boating!

Rick, any updates?

FX10 10-14-2008 10:25 PM

Noli, as of today. All glass work is complete. You should be a happy man. 6 hour grinding job in a Tyvec suit finished it off. Tomorrow, the cabin will be gelcoated . Getting psyched yet?

noli 10-15-2008 04:47 AM

I've been psyched ever since you first sprayed the gel coat on the hull mold! Good to hear that the delivery is in sight. When do you think the interior will be completed? JC indicated that he has the seats etc., in the other factory.

What did you grind for 6 hours?

FX10 10-15-2008 07:20 AM

Ground all the glass on the bulkheads to make it smooth, and the hull to deck seam which is fully glassed.

Superbabi 10-15-2008 04:29 PM

:grinser010:Noli, you must be all amped up !!!!! Did you pick up the twins yet ???

noli 10-15-2008 06:46 PM

I haven't picked up the 350's yet because I don't know who'll be doing the rigging. If ocean outboard does it, then a loan will be placed with ocean for the engines. I don't exactly have the money for the twins in cash form :(

In addition the stock market isn't all that hot these days.

I've spoken to East Coast. I haven't yet approached Ocean Outboard nor Trenton Marine here in NJ.

Do you have any other hi-perf Merc dealers that you've worked with and recommend?

noli, give Typhoon Service Center a call. Located in Toms River N.J. a call. ask for Chuck, or Frank. One of the best shops on the East Coast, they will have everything you need or want. 732-477-6157

FX10 10-18-2008 06:31 AM

Noli, Joey at ECM is one of the best around in my opinion. Here are a few shots from yesturday. The cabin is all gelcoated and so is the well area in the bilge.
